Previously on GZSZ…Jo and Sophie are getting married even though they go together like prawns and tiramisu…yeah gross! Nik and Elena ride off to Denmark and get hitched but forget their passports…luckily Jasmin and Tuner bring them at the last minute and save the day YAY!

Ep 5626

We open with Nik and Elena emerging from the marriage office newly married with Jasmin and Tuner throwing rice all over them. As Jasmin hugs Nik she tells him that she can’t believe that she’s actually at his wedding. As she hugs him, she does her signature back squeeze / rub thing that Janina always does when she hugs someone. They share a sweet moment where she tells him how happy she is for him. Tuner then grabs Nik and teases him saying that he leaves him alone for one night and he goes off and gets married. Nik teases him back and tells Tuner that he was the one who told him to fly to London to look for Elena in the first place. All the while, Jasmin is cutely taking pictures of them from behind…NAAAW! They then get to Nik’s motorcycle and see that Tuner and Jasmin have decorated it with a “Just married” sign and one little can. Tuner even teases Jasmin in the way she said “little can”…it’s adorbs. And as Nik and Elena drive away dragging the little can behind them, Jasmin cutely waves goodbye. She gets this daydream look on her face as Tuner asks her if they look cute and she answers “Totally”.

Don’t worry Jasmin, you’ll get your day soon, I’m sure of it.

Tuner then looks at Jasmin, who is tearing up, and Tuner says “You cry easily, huh?”. Jasmin laughs at him and puts an arm around him and it’s a super cute moment.

Cut to the next scene back in the apartment and Nele’s opening line of “Yes, cat unicorns!” is just another one of Ramona’s hilarious in jokes with Linda I think. I believe the last one she used was “glitter unicorns”. Anni replies “Mmmm…interesting” with a totally straight face, while she takes pictures of her guitar with her digital camera. Just then Jasmin sweeps into the room announcing that she’s back. Anni doesn’t even look up but continues to take photos of her guitar.

Now I’m gonna go out on a limb here and assume that someone told Anni where Jasmin had gone off to. Because last we saw Anni in the cafe with Emily she didn’t know where Jasmin was and didn’t seem to care. So judging by her non reaction when Jasmin walks back into the room and Nele asking her how it was, I am going to safely assume that Anni knew where Jasmin had been.

Jasmin tells them, that with no planning whatsoever, Nik and Elena just did it and now they are married. As Nele gushes over this news and says “How romantic!” and Jasmin describes the wedding, Anni finally speaks up and says “Do you have wedding plans too now?”

Ohh ouch Anni.

After a moments hesitation Jasmin comes over to Anni and almost stands in her shot as she tells her that she knows she’s still mad at her but that she doesn’t want to fight anymore. Anni just tells her to get out of her shot and Nele hilariously books it out of there.

Jasmin then looks down at the guitar and asks Anni what she’s doing. Anni tells her that she’s selling her guitar. Jasmin reacts with a hurt look.

She tells Anni that it was a present from her and hopes that she isn’t doing all this because of the demo tape. As Anni uploads the pictures to her computer she tells Jasmin that no, she’s just fed up with music. Jasmin then bends down to Anni telling her to calm down and not give up on music now, just because one stupid record guy didn’t love her song. She then kneels down in front of Anni, who is typing away trying to ignore her, pleading with her; “Composing, writing lyrics, singing…it’s totally your thing! You can’t give it up! Maybe you just play for yourself? I mean who needs a record deal?”. Anni scoffs and tells Jasmin that apparently she does, otherwise she wouldn’t have sent her song to some label without asking her first. Jasmin holds her head and tells Anni that she gets that and has apologised for it a thousand times already (she really has).

Jasmin tries to get Anni to listen to her by closing her laptop but Anni stops her and continues working on it. Jasmin takes it down a notch and says “Baby, you’re so talented” while rubbing Anni’s arm. But even now Anni will not give in and replies “Oh right…wait. I’m talented enough to hide behind a stage, because I don’t have the balls to perform!”

OH SNAP! Come on Anni, how much harder does Jasmin have to try here? Give her a break…

Jasmin tells her that that’s not fair but Anni interrupts her to say that those were HER exact words. Jasmin admits that they were her words but that she was mad at the time and she’s sorry (yet again…should have kept count how many times she actually apologised). Anni snaps at Jasmin and asks her how many times she has to tell her that the world doesn’t only revolve around her and to just stay out of it. Jasmin, on the verge of tears now, tells Anni that she GAVE her that guitar but again Anni shuts her down. In a mocking voice she says “Now she tries to make me feel guilty? MAN! It’s MY life!!!” She then hits enter on her laptop and the auction for the guitar is now online.

Cut across to the MW where Anni is working the sound desk. The band gets introduced; Staubkind. You can check out the song they play right here;

And while the band plays we get this amazing shot of Anni standing at her sound desk surrounded by people partying.

And also a mini montage of Jasmin sitting at home all upset cut together with Anni. And we can finally start to see that this HAS affected Anni in some way (thank the heavens).

     

Then we see a mysterious blonde checking Anni out from the corner. Anni sees her and smiles but to me it looks like she’s just doing so out of politeness and not because she’s flirting (yet). She actually looks a little bashful here and I find it kinda cute.

Back at home Jasmin is lying on the couch venting her anger at herself to Nele. She asks herself why she had to send them the demo, that it was so stupid of her to do and that Anni’s music is sacred to her. And now the record guy slammed her and that Anni’s lyrics are so personal. Jasmin is now fully beginning to understand exactly what Anni’s music means to her; that it’s not just some carelessly jotted down text. It’s actually HER. She says that if Anni quits music now, it’ll be all her fault.

It’s so refreshing to see a character make mistakes and then come full circle and understand what they did wrong. I love the way we see Jasmin’s character grow here. Finally a storyline that seems to end with a positive outcome…or wait…

WTF is Anni doing?!!!

Not learning a damn thing (yet) it seems! The mysterious blonde eventually comes over to Anni and introduces herself as Lia.

MAN, why doesn’t stuff like this EVER happen to me?

Lia asks Anni when she gets off work and she laughs and hesitantly tells her that she has a girlfriend.

Lia tells her that it works out well then because she has one too. RUH ROH Anni…what are you doing? Step away, step away!!!!

Cut to after the show and Anni is packing her equipment away as Lia is chatting to her. She tells her that when she first saw her she thought “wow she’s SO hot” (well yeah). Anni laughs and asks “Hot?” (yes, Anni, you are HOT!). Lia clarifies and tells her that she’s EXTREMELY hot and that she know’s it. Anni just grins away, as I would too if an attractive woman were hitting on me. Lia tries to get to know something about Anni and asks if she’s always working the sound desk, to which Anni replies “When I’m doing my job”. So far Anni has done a pretty good job not leading this chick on, but Lia keeps at it, asking her what she does when she’s not working. Anni looks at her and asks her what this is but Lia just says “You tell me”.

Oh now she’s playing games too, run away Anni, run away!

Lia guesses that Anni makes some awesome music herself….uh oh you said the magic word Lia. Anni asks for the next subject and Lia tells her that’s not a problem. She sits down close to Anni and asks her what she wants to talk about then. She tells Anni that if she can’t pick Anni up, she’s going to have to pick her up. Anni laughs and shakes her head. Then Lia delivers the line we all want to hear from a hot woman in a nightclub (could just be me) and plays with Anni’s jacket;

     

After a moment’s hesitation Anni leans in and starts kissing Lia. I feel like she’s very held back at first with this kiss…almost unsure of herself. And just as she starts to get into it, we see Jasmin appear in shot. A shot, I might add, that is again amazingly composed. The director of this episode deserves an award…I’m loving all these shots.

Ahem, sorry had to distract myself from what was actually happening here! Anni is kissing someone OTHER than Jasmin, WHILE Jasmin is watching! What the what?!!!

And while it’s NOT Jasmin and IS someone else, at first Im horrified and can’t watch…but then it’s like a bad car accident and I can’t look away…
