Previously on GZSZ…Anni gets a little hot and steamy with Franca Mo but comes to her senses in time and tells Franca that NO means NO! Jasmin turns a bad situation good by designing “Tussi Attack” tshirts to sell at the local flea markets. Anni surprises Jasmin at these markets with coffee but just as they start to get close again, Franca Mo shows up and starts befriending Jasmin. Luckily Franca doesn’t mention anything to Jasmin but Anni is more than freaked out by the whole thing. Anni then makes steps to try and get closer to Jasmin again, only to have Jasmin tell her that she’s the one who wanted this relationship break and that she’s got too much to do before she leaves for her business trip to Hamburg.

Ep 5698

We open at the cafe where Anni runs in to ask Tuner if he’s got any free shifts for her to take. He teases her about wanting to keep busy because he hears that Jasmin will be out of town. Anni gives him a GET LOST face and tells him that she just has some free time now and could use the money.

He hands her the roster as Elena’s phone rings. She answers and starts talking to her mother in Spanish. Tuner overhears the word “birthday” in Spanish and he whispers over to Anni that it must be her birthday. Anni wonders why she hasn’t said anything to them and Tuner speculates that maybe she’s not in the party mood due to ohhh you know, HER HUSBAND JUST DIED?!

Anni seems to have no sympathy for Elena either and wonders WHY on earth she wouldn’t want to celebrate?! Tuner thinks that it’s just not right and looks at Anni. Anni knows exactly what he’s thinking and says “You distract her?” and he replies “You organise everything?”. At the end Anni dorkily says “Synchronise watches” and they both look down to their non existant watches and laugh.

Haha I love when Anni is such a nerd. Elena finally hangs up the phone and Tuner and Anni just look at her. Tuner asks her what she’s doing later because “Some Kind of Wonderful” are playing at the MW and he asks if she would like to go. She tells him she would love to and once she turns away, he winks at Anni. Anni gives him a hilarious look as if to say “Reeeeeal smooth Tuner”.

Over at the MW, the concert starts as Elena and Tuner arrive. Tuner then gets a text from Anni telling him that everything is all set for the party and they can come over to the apartment. I think Tuner is actually enjoying his little non-date with Elena too much and he texts her back “Already?”. About halfway through the concert Tuner asks Elena if they should go but she tells him that they will play some more later. He tells her that she’s seen them now and that there’s an emergency and that she’ll see soon enough. He suggests that they use the elevator as the stairs are too crowded. Just as they get into the elevator, a conveniently placed background extra moves out of the way to reveal a sign warning not to use the elevator as it’s acting up. RUH ROOOH. In the elevator Elena hits the stop button to try and get what’s going on out of Tuner. Of course he caves within 2 seconds, telling her that he overheard her on the phone and that he knows it’s her birthday and they’ve planned a surprise party for her. Way to spill the beans Tuner!

She tells him that it’s actually NOT her birthday and that he misunderstood the phone call earlier. She then tries to re-start the elevator but RUH ROOH it’s broken and now they are stuck there.

Over at the apartment, everyone sits waiting around for them to arrive. Ayla jumps up and tells them that they are coming. So Anni hits the lights and they all wait for the door to open. When it does open, they all start singing that fake GZSZ made up Happy Birthday song but it turns out that it’s only Jasmin. I love the way Jasmin just says NO and they all laugh. Jasmin tells them that Tuner and Elena are not at the MW and that now she has to get going because her bus to Hamburg leaves in an hour. AWW NO DON’T GOOOOO!!

Anni kinda does this sad nod while Ayla goes to hug Jasmin goodbye. Everyone wishes her good luck and then she gives Anni a look. And as Anni approaches her, she has the most adorable little puppy face ever. As they hug each other, Anni tells her to call her and Jasmin tells her that she will. As they finish the hug, you can see both of them look at each other’s lips for a second, before Anni sweetly kisses Jasmin.

Awww you guys, my heart just melted! Even when they are in a relationship break, or fighting, they STILL love each other! Anni does her little sad nod again and with that Jasmin leaves us for the next 2 weeks. *SOB*

Back in the elevator, Elena is using her time wisely and teaching Tuner some Spanish. They cheers away while sitting on some drink crates as everyone back at the apartment also toast to Elena.

Ep 5699

Next episode starts in the cafe. Anni, Tuner and Elena are all working. Anni is wearing her amazingly sexy black leather vest again #blackvestforpresident. Elena asks Tuner if he wants a coffee but he tells her no as he has a breakfast date.

A BREAKFAST DATE?! How did I not know this was a thing?! *makes notes*

Just then in walks Mia, Tuner’s breakfast date (she is the woman whose dead husband donated his heart to Tuner). Elena makes an oddly jealous looking face as he goes and hugs her.

Can I just officially put my name down on the “No to Eluner” list right now?!

As Tuner goes off to answer a phone call, Mia comes over to the counter and wishes Elena a belated Happy Birthday.

Elena tells her that it was all just a misunderstanding and makes her a coffee. After giving her the stink eye, Elena fake smiles and says “You see each other more often now, Tuner and you?”. Mia says that she’ll see how it goes. Elena then tells her that her husband also died and donated his organs but she can’t imagine ever having to meet whoever ended up with them. Mia tells her that everyone deals with things differently. Elena then gets to the real point and ask if maybe Mia is confusing something here, that Tuner is important to her and that she doesn’t want to see him get hurt. Mia tells her that she likes Tuner and that it has nothing to do with her dead husband’s heart beating away inside him. Tuner finishes his phone call and they go off on their breakfast date. Anni tells Elena that she thinks it’s cool that Tuner has something going on with someone. Elena doesn’t think it should be with Mia though as she thinks that it’s obviously unhealthy.  Anni asks “Is it?”

Elena looks shocked and tries to re-explain it to Anni. She says “Tuner has Mia’s husband’s heart!”. Yes, we know this Elena. She continues by telling Anni that now she is around there ALL the time and she thinks it’s all very weird. Anni disagrees and says that Tuner is Tuner, no matter whose heart he has inside him. She tells Elena that maybe some people might find it weird but that she is sure Tuner can take care of himself. Elena sighs and agrees that she will stay out of it all.

Elena brings Maren and Katrin some coffee, who are discussing Maren’s relationship problems with Alex. Katrin asks Elena if they have any brown sugar and Elena goes off searching for this elusive brown sugar. She comes back a second later telling the ladies that they are all out of brown sugar. She passes Anni on the way back to the bar and tells her that she’s going to ask Tuner about the brown sugar.

Still in the cafe. Anni goes up to the counter and asks Elena about the brown sugar. Elena tells her that she didn’t ask him about it. Anni, all annoyed, tells her that she thought thats why she went upstairs for.

Elena informs Anni that Tuner is “busy”. More like “gettin’ busy” if you ask me *wink*. Elena tells Anni that they were kissing and so she left.

Anni smirks and says “Well, that’s a start”. Elena gives her a look and Anni tells her that she should be happy for him as he’s got some catching up to do. Elena concedes and tells Anni that she IS happy for him. Anni then says “But you think Mia is a psycho?”. Awww hahaha! Elena just doesn’t want to see little Tuner get hurt. Anni nods like she doesn’t believe her.

Elena continues by adding that Tuner can kiss whoever he wants, as long as it makes him happy.

Cut to a bit later on and Tuner comes bounding down the stair holding a scarf. Anni teases him and asks if that’s his date’s scarf. He tells her that it is. Anni then inquires as to how it was. Elena looks slightly uncomfortable at this and Tuner notices this. Elena explains that they were out of brown sugar and that she went upstairs to ask him if they had any more. He questions as to whether she was actually just there to check up on him and Mia. Elena looks taken aback for a second but Anni quickly tells him that they really WERE out of brown sugar. Tuner tells Elena that Mia told him about their conversation earlier and she tells him that she only meant well. He tells her that he can look after himself and that she just needs to stay out of it because he likes Mia. As Tuner walks off, Elena turns around to one of the most hilarious (and improv-ed I’m sure) scenes we’ve seen in quite a while. She turns around to see Anni just standing there and gives her a look, Anni then grabs the curtains and hides behind them. BWAHAHA! #classiclinda

A bit later and Mia comes to the cafe looking for her scarf. Tuner gets it for her and asks her if everything is OK, since she took off so suddenly earlier. She tells him that the kiss was really nice but that she’s just not ready to be with anyone right now. He tells her that he really likes her and she says the same. But she also tells him that she doesn’t think this thing between them is such a good idea after all. Awwwww Tuuuunuiiiiiii…
